Okay, this is where I babble. Prepare yourselves! This fic has been living in my head for more than seven months. I have never worked as hard on a piece of fiction as I have on this. It's like my fic baby! I'm positively giddy at finally getting to share it with everybody. Retold fairy tales are my favorite, but as you might gather from this story, I don't really think about fairy tales the way most people do. Give me a fairy tale to play with and I'll almost always come up with something dark and angsty. So, I hope y'all enjoyed my kinda skewed take on the Prince Charming and Happily Ever After thing. *g*


A brief note on the band name. Turns out there’s a rather famous bakery in Corsicana, Texas, about fifty miles south of Dallas. It’s called the Collin Street Bakery
and it specializes in . . . fruitcakes! I really couldn’t pass up a pun that awesome.

God, poor broken prince Jensen, and prince Charming Jared, and I always see Chris as the the Knight of Swords so, yeah that works and Steve, so steadfast and true. And you brought Sandy to Jared and yeah, wow, babbling here. LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!

I'm done reading it (for the first time ...)

It's past midnight and I actually should be asleep because I have to get up and go to work in the morning but I honestly don't care (and don't you dare scolding me!).


I know I already sent you the message and said how much I love you but I have to do it again now that I finished.

I love that story to pieces. It has my second favorite things: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Jared and Jensen, music, porn, great dialogues, fairytales and a lot of love from you for the main characters. (My favorite things would have been Latin, priests and rosaries but I'm so glad there were none of these in here because I absolutely wouldn't be able to cope^^)

There were so many lines, phrases, dialogues, moments and scenes that I loved, laughed at, awwwed at or just couldn't help but stupidly grin at. I've had the soundtrack on repeat the whole time (and I love the song collection!). I'm so excited about this story, the whole idea, your writing skills, the art, just EVERYTHING ... I think I want to marry your story and have it's babies. Would that be okay with you? (I should probably ask Kate, too ...)


I already asked if I could PLEASE read this. I know I got the accent (although I'm in denial aboutt that^^) but just let me do it and then you can still say you don't want me to make it public, okay?


So ... yeah, I'm pretty excited and hyper right now and I really cannot imagine how I'm supposed to sleep now but ANYWAY ...


I love you. A lot! You're amazing. This story is amazing. You can be proud of yourself and everyone involved and just in case there is someone who doesn't like it and is brave enough to say so? Tell me who it is and I'm gonna punch that person verbally ... I'm good at that! ;o)

This is such a nice retelling of the fairytale. I love Jared's persistence and the way Jensen's panic comes from realizing he's in love instead of something bad. I really like Allie's insistence that Jensen was worthy of being friends with. Steve and Chris were awesome both together and when "handling" Jensen and Jared.
